Something Ex Nihilo
Something Ex Nihilo is a permanent video sculpture commissioned by Overthrow Hospitality for Café de L’Enfer, a subterranean absinthe and champagne bar in New York. The work lives in the architecture of the space — projected and sculpted light embedded in the environment rather than displayed on a screen.
I designed, fabricated, and programmed the piece as an original artwork — one of the rare projects where I operated as the primary artist rather than technical director.
The installation remained on display for two years until the bar changed theme.
