PHAROS II was the second iteration of Childish Gambino’s immersive concert series — a dome experience in Tapapakanga Regional Park, Auckland, New Zealand that merged live performance with real-time projected visuals driven by Unreal Engine and motion capture.
As Director of Creative Design, I led the creative and technical vision for the visual experience, designing the real-time content pipeline that responded to live performance inside a full-dome projection environment.
The project won a VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project and established a new benchmark for what live concert technology could achieve.
