Bonnie "Prince" Billy — Life is Scary Horses
For Braden King’s music video for Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s “Life is Scary Horses,” Todd served as virtual production visual effects supervisor at NYU Tandon @ The Yard. Still photographs taken on location at Highway 50 in Nevada — America’s Loneliest Road — were converted into 3D gaussian splats using Apple’s SHARP, a monocular view synthesis tool that generates full 3D scenes from single images.
The virtual environments were projected on the facility’s LED wall and re-photographed using a four-person jib arm crew operating Panavision cameras — an elaborate telecine-style process designed to add naturalistic camera movement to the digital sets and match the feel of the on-location footage.
